Entain Appoints Eminence Founder Ricky Sandler as Non-Executive Director

Entain, a global sports betting and gaming giant, has announced the appointment of Ricky Sandler as a non-executive director, effective immediately. According to the company, Sandler’s appointment is in line with the UK Corporate Governance Code, however, he will not be considered an independent NED.

In addition to his role as a non-executive director, Sandler will also join Entain’s People & Governance and Capital Allocation committees. He will also collaborate with the company to identify an additional non-executive director who is agreeable to both Eminence and Entain.

Ricky Sandler is the founder, CEO, and CIO of Eminence Capital, a global investment management firm with a $6.5 billion portfolio. With his extensive experience in managing an elite team of investors, Sandler has played a key role in shaping Eminence’s strategic direction.

Before founding Eminence, Sandler co-founded and served as co-general partner of Fusion Capital Management. His investment career began at Mark Asset Management. Additionally, Sandler has previous experience as a non-executive director at Ashland and serves as an advisor on the Investment Committee for the University of Wisconsin Foundation.

Barry Gibson, chairman of Entain, welcomed Sandler’s appointment and praised his deep understanding of Entain’s business. Gibson expressed confidence in the value that Sandler will bring to the company and its shareholders.
