BetFIRST, a top contender in the sports wagering market in Belgium, has introduced a new online casino brand called betfirstcasino.be in collaboration with Groupe Partouche’s Middelkerke Casino.
The launch of betfirstcasino.be takes advantage of Middelkerke Casino’s recently-obtained A+ casino license, allowing it to offer online gambling in Belgium. This move is in line with betFIRST’s goal to strengthen its leading position in the country. The new online casino will offer a wide range of betting options, including slot games, table games, and live casino experiences.
Last year, Betsson Group acquired BetFIRST, aiming to expand its presence in the Belgian betting market with a $130 million deal. This acquisition positioned Betsson as the operator of one of the oldest and most reputable betting companies in Belgium.
Jesper Svensson, the CEO of Betsson, expressed pride in the acquisition of betFIRST and emphasized plans to elevate the company to new heights. The introduction of the new online casino further adds value to betFIRST and establishes a crucial partnership between Betsson and Groupe Partouche.
Alexis Murphy, CEO of BetFIRST, also shared his excitement about the launch, stating that it will reinforce the company’s position in Belgium and allow them to tap into the lucrative iGaming market. Murphy highlighted betFIRST’s success with their sports betting app and aims to replicate this achievement with the most extensive mobile casino offering in Belgium.
Fabrice Paire, the CEO of Groupe Partouche, expressed optimism about betfirstcasino.be, stating that it will be a valuable addition to the group’s portfolio in Belgium. He also mentioned Groupe Partouche’s ongoing project to create a landmark casino in Middelkerke, expected to become the most iconic casino in Belgium. Paire concluded by emphasizing the group’s intention to make strides in both the retail and online sectors in Belgium.
